Ansiosa generated a few anxious moments for her connections when she broke lose from outriders prior to loading for her debut race on June 28th.
The bay filly by Sicótico – Dixie Wildcat, by Forest Wildcat galloped nearly 5 furlongs before being gathered by the outriders. She was then taken to the gate where the racetrack veterinarian determined she was fit to run.
Ansiosa exploded from the gate and posted reasonable fractions before stopping the clock for 1.08 4/5 for 1100 meters. The final time was poor, but in all truth she ran the race after a 5 furlong gallop.
She was guided to victory by Odalis Severino, is trained by Eugenio Deschamps and Juan Jimenez and races for the red and white silks of Establo La Aurora that belongs to our good friends and cousins Cesar Prieto, Ramon Contreras and Ricardo Contreras.
The filly was bred by RSA and sold at the 2013 RSA October Yearling Sale.
