Farm President, Angel B. Contreras, MD

A horse breeder since the tender age of 11, Dr. Angel B. Contreras (aka Angelito) has been in charge of all RSA operations since 1999.

A full-time Clinical Cardiologist, Dr. Contreras has participated in various roles in the DR racing industry such as Stud Book Director of the Stud Book Dominicano and Vice-President of the Dominican Republic's Owners Association, the Federacion Nacional de Dueños de Caballos de Carrera, Inc.

Farm Manager, Juan Jimenez

A childhood friend of Dr. Contreras, Juan Jimenez has worked in various countries and different areas of the horse racing industry. Mr. Jimenez was once a barn foreman for US classic-winning trainer Scotty Schulhofer; President of an equine transport company and a successful trainer.

Farm Foreman, Dilson Sosa

Dilson Sosa has been a member of the RSA family for over 18 years. When only a teenager he earned the trust and respect of the RSA team and was named Stallion Manager and in 2004 he was handed the reins of the operation. Actively supervising all aspects of the farm operation, Dilson and his family live on the farm.

Farm Veterinarian, Eugenio Deschamps Jr., DVM

Junior Deschamps joined the RSA Farm team in 2006 after having worked as RSA Stable Vet since 2003. Junior is in charge of the care of stallions, mares and foals as well as supervision of all hoof care on the farm.

Junior trained with the famed Jose Garcia Blanco, DVM in Puerto Rico before returning to his homeland and is the son of Caribbean Hall of Fame Trainer & RSA Stable Advisor Eugenio Deschamps.

In 2013, Dr. Deschamps took over the role as farm reproductive vet as well.
