RSA is thrilled to announce the addition of five talented and game performers to our select broodmare band.

Exótica, by Tango Tales – Bad Strike, by Ing. R. Limardo. This 7 time winner earned Champion 2-Year-Old and Champion Two-Year-Old Filly honors after defeating colts in the Clásico de Criadores Versión Potros-G1, the top race of the 2yo racing season in DR. She overcame a near career-ending fracture early in her 3yo year but overcame them and returned to the winner’s circle at 4 and 5. She is a half-sister to Champion Older Mare Exquisita. She will be bred in 2016 and breeding plans are not definitive at this time.

Mon Gateau, by Blueformer – Mandeville, by Langfuhr. This speedy gray was campaigned by her owners of the Establo La Aurora during her life at the track. This winner of 9 lifetime races was best at 2 when she won the Clásico de Criadores Versión Potrancas-G1 and was 3rd in the Clásico Angel Contreras Mejía-G3. A recurrent tendon injury limited her abilities during her 4 and 5 year-old seasons, and after a private transaction, was transferred to RSA. She was bred to RSA stallion Tango Tales and is in-foal to that stallion on one cover.

Time to Tango, by Tango Tales – Blizz Honor, by Ing. R. Limardo. A nine time winner in her carreer, she was a consistently graded stakes-placed all her racing seasons. At 2, she was 2nd in the Clásico Angel Contreras Mejía-G3 and 3rd against colts in the Clásico de Criadores Versión Potros-G1; at 3, she was 3rd in the Clásico Día de Duarte-G3; at 4, she was 3rd in the Clásico Presidente Constitucional-G2; and at 5 she was 3rd in the Clásico Año Nuevo-G2. The full sister to Champion Two-Year Old Filly Esmeralda (winner of the Clásico de Criadores Versión Potrancas-G1) and half-sister to multiple graded-stakes-placed Tempestad seemed to loose interest in racing in the past few months and was retired sound. She will be bred in 2016 and breeding plans are not definitive at this time.

Apoteósica, by After Market – North Park Legend, by Affirmed. This massive chestnut filly only raced 2 seasons and the reduced population of imported horses forced her to race against colt through her career and was awarded Champion Imported Two Year-Old Filly honors. She was bred to RSA stallion Endymion and is in-foal to that stallion on one cover.

Posesiva, by Sicótico – Mine the Cat, by Cat Thief. The attractive half-sister to Classic winner Belleza (1st Clásico Matías Ramón Mella-G1) was a speedy three time winner in her brief career. Her dam died early in 2015 and coincided with soft tissue injury that sent Posesiva to the farm for recovery for 6 weeks and we decided to breed her to RSA stallion Endymion and returned her to the races. She was unplaced in the Clásico Sprinters Nativos-G3 where her ability was compromised due to a respiratory infection. Her health improved and then won 2 consecutive races and was retired due to her advancing state of pregnancy.
