In an ending that made all attendees rise from their seats, imported older horse Large Kaufy narrowly surpassed the emerging Vanguard Knight to claim victory in the 29th edition of the G1 Clasico Kalil Haché, held November 15th at the Hipodromo V Centenario.

Under the conduction of rider Luis Jimenez, trained by Juan Jimenez and advised by Eugenio Deschamps, Large Kaufy reacted in the final meters to hunt down Vanguard Knight, who had gathered the lead with rider José Reyes, to obtain victory and take the best part of RD $ 637.100 pesos which featured the event.

With the win, the representative Establo San Antonio, owned by Angel Contreras, got his third victory in four appearances at the Hipodromo V Centenario and his second classic victory in the country after being imported by the FNDCC in March.

Beaten by just a nose was Vanguard Knight, of the Establo Don Roberto Troche, followed by the mare Suprise Force who finished third defeating by 1 length beating through body Reprized Halo, winner of last year's event.

Great Attendance

A massive amount of fans turn out to the  V Centenario for the racecard, enjoying the great equestrian show presented by the authorities, which included a guloyas dancing, pony races, donkey races and a parade various horse breeds.
