Highly regarded 3yo filly Aspiration (Blueformer - Anticipation), and the unraced 3yo’s Incitatus (Sicotico – Moon Wind) and Filo Con Filo (Sicotico – Sunset Thomas), were successfully treated by a team of veterinarians of the firm Regenovet and RSA resident veterinarian Eugenio Deschamps, Jr.

All three of 3yo's received treatment on March 22^nd for tendon injuries that were hampering their training and racing abilities. The procedures were performed at the veterinary and lab facilities at Rancho San Antonio.

RSA trainers Eugenio Deschamps and Juan Jimenez have stated that the increase in soft tissue injuries is probably related to the lack of maintenance at the Hipodromo V Centenario racecourse during the horsemen’s strike and posterior track closure in 2013.

This marks the first time that stem cell therapy is used on thoroughbreds the Dominican Republic. It is expected that 2 other RSA runners will receive treatment shortly.
