Tango Dancer, the neat, flashy and compact son of Tango Tales (Tale of the Cat) and Let's Dance Again (Green Dancer) swept through the Dominican Republic Triple Crown by a combined 20 lengths to become our country's 13th Triple Crown Winner. The accomplishment also gives breeders Rancho San Antonio our 2nd Triple Crown winner (our first was Sicótico in 2008).
The margins of victory should not be a measure of the ease of his wins since in all 3 races he was heavily pressured throughout the course of the tests, but the little horse with the big heart prevailed and conquered all challengers.
With the win Tango Dancer improves his lifetime record to 13 wins and 3 seconds from 16 lifetime starts and has accumulated earnings of DOP $1,448,730.
He is owned by Establo La Aurora partnered by Cesar Prieto, Ramon and Ricardo Contreras and he is trained by Eugenio Deschamps. He was ridden in his first 2 Triple Crown races by Hector Hernandez and driven home in his final Triple Crown challenge by Luis Jimenez. He was bred by Angel R. and Angel B. Contreras of Rancho San Antonio.
