Establo La Aurora's Tango Dancer wire the field to take the DR's top 2-year-old race the G1 Clásico de Criadores (Colts Division) in wire-to wire fashion to clinch Champion 2-Year-Old honors. The RSA hombred by Tango Tales out of the Green Dancer mare Let's Dance Again, broke sharply and never looked back a gamely held off the late closing Gran Sultan.
Venezuelan rider Richard Pérez guided Tango Dancer to 1 1/2 length victory in a good time of 1:48 1/5 for the 1,700 meter event. He is trained by the team of Eugenio Deschamps and Juan Jimenez.
The talented colt is a half-sibling to the stakes-winning Locura (by Jazil), now a broodmare at RSA.
